For First Responders and Healthcare Workers
You may also know the culture around getting help, and the worry about who finds out. I understand both. I spent eighteen years in emergency medicine, medic and flight RN, before moving into psychiatry.
How this works
Every visit is by video. No waiting room, no running into someone from your department. Evening and Friday appointments, built around shift work.
What people in this work come in for
Sleep that will not come back. Anger that shows up at home instead of at work. A call you cannot put down. Drinking that started as a way to come down after shift. Feeling flat about work you used to love. Panic that arrives after the emergency is over instead of during it.

You don’t have to explain what a bad call is. I get it.
And if the calendar looks full, message me anyway.
Mandatory overtime, a rotation that changes every month, court on your day off. Send me a message and I will find room. We can almost always work it out. Scheduling should not be the reason you go without care.
